Our Story

At Éthique Nouveau, we believe you can be fashionable, fun – and animal friendly too. We were frankly tired of trying to lead an animal friendly life and being offered products whose designers seemed to think we were only interested in eating twigs and berries, wearing sensible shoes, dressing oh so seriously, and buying the same thing over and over again.

Sure, we want to be kind to animals, tread lightly on the planet and hopefully leave things a little bit better than when we found them, but we'd like to enjoy ourselves and giggle a bit in the process too. So we've created a fashion, beauty, and accessories boutique for the person who cares. Always fresh, unique, and ever changing, it's a place where you can feel great knowing the products you purchase are kind to humans, animals, and the earth.

We're dedicated to providing our customers with the finest quality merchandise available from the best designers in the field without the use of animal testing, ingredients, skins, or furs. Supporting local artists and ethical and independent companies is also important to us, and we're continually on the lookout for new products that meet our criteria of being animal friendly and sustainable. We're excited about designers who are creating not just “alternatives,” but first-class products that can be appreciated by all.

With over 30 years of helping animals, ARC believes in practicing compassion for all through connection, communication, and education. Because animals matter for their own reasons.

Éthique Nouveau is located at 317 W. 48th St. in south Minneapolis. We're on 48th between Lyndale and Nicollet, right off the intersection of 48th St. and Grand. Plenty of free, on-street parking is available.
